Using sarcasm, cliches, and idioms in business letters would make you seem extremely unprofessional and could possibly offend the person you're sending the letter to, so it's best to avoid the use of those literary devices.

As it would make it look unprofessional when communicating with clients and suppliers. Customers and clients judge a firm’s professionalism through the letters the business sends
