Deoxyribose is the name of the sugar found in the backbone of DNA. two sides of this sugar-phosphate backbone are four nitrogenous bases: adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C), and guanine (G).

The back bone of DNA molecule is made up of deoxyribose (sugar and phosphate- sugar chain).The four nucleotides are nitrogenous bases called Adenine,Guanine , Thymine and Cytosine. Two nucleotides in the DNA are linked together by phosphodiester bond.
