How do I order negative and positive and mixed numbers to smallest to largest

Turn the mixed number into an improper fraction. Start looking at the negative numbers as these are always less than positive numbers. Start with the "biggest" negative number as that has the lowest value. Find the next "biggest" negative number and continue until the negative numbers are in order.
