Simplifying y = 3x + -9 + 8x Reorder the terms: y = -9 + 3x + 8x Combine like terms: 3x + 8x = 11x y = -9 + 11x Solving y = -9 + 11x Solving for variable 'y'. Move all terms containing y to the left, all other terms to the right. Simplifying y = -9 + 11x
