With the core science you don't go into as much detail in the topics and you only get one GCSE out of it. Double science goes into more detail so you learn mor science and you get 2 GCSEs out of it. With double science you will have more science lessons which means you will have more science work and I think you have an extra exam if you take that because it is one of the options.
