[tex]m= \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1} [/tex]
[tex]m= \frac{7/2-11}{4-(-8)} [/tex]
[tex]m= \frac{-7.5}{12} = \frac{-5}{8} [/tex]
Now point slope form:
[tex]y-y1=m(x-x1)[/tex]
[tex]y-11= \frac{-5}{8}[x-(-8)] [/tex]
[tex]y-11= \frac{-5}{8}x-5 [/tex]
[tex]y= \frac{-5}{8}x +6 [/tex] is your final equation
